Strategic Access to International Financing

AidLabs supports social, humanitarian and development organizations in the structured design of competitive proposals and fundable programs, aligned with international standards and cooperation mechanisms. This service integrates programmatic architecture, territorial intelligence and our validated Local Organizations Network. We do not limit ourselves to writing projects; we design financing strategies based on territorial evidence, contextual analysis and real local capacities.

Problem it solves

  • Difficulty accessing international financing mechanisms
  • Proposals that do not meet competitive quality standards
  • Lack of programmatic structuring and results frameworks
  • Gaps in alignment with international agendas

What the deliverable includes

  • Development of concept notes and full proposals
  • Theory of Change design
  • Results frameworks and logical frameworks
  • Indicator and monitoring system definition
  • Multisector program design
  • Budget construction and justification
  • Alignment with international agendas and strategic frameworks
  • Technical review and quality assurance

Modalities and timelines

Phase 1: Diagnosis (1-2 weeks)
Phase 2: Co-design (3-5 weeks)
Phase 3: Submission (1-2 weeks)
Success Fee model available

Ideal for

  • Social organizations
  • Humanitarian organizations
  • Development organizations
  • Local organizations with financing potential

How we work (step by step)

Phase 1 – Strategic Diagnosis (1–2 weeks)

Initial institutional assessment, identification of viable financing opportunities, eligibility analysis and technical gaps, joint definition of programmatic scope. When applicable, potential for articulation with AidLabs Network actors is reviewed.

Phase 2 – Programmatic Co-design (3–5 weeks)

Strategic design workshop, theory of change development, structuring of results, activities and indicators, programmatic budget construction, technical and financial alignment. In territorial projects, capacities identified in the validated local organizations network can be integrated.

Phase 3 – Submission and Adjustments (1–2 weeks)

Final technical review, adjustments according to financing mechanism guidelines, preparation of institutional annexes, submission and strategic follow-up.

Phase 4 – Upon approval (optional)

Initial support in monitoring structure, implementation adjustments, articulation with territorial actors when necessary.

Results-based model (Success Fee)

In certain cases, AidLabs works under a shared success model.

  • No upfront payment required for proposal development.
  • AidLabs receives a pre-agreed percentage only if financing is approved.
  • The percentage is defined according to project size and complexity.
  • This model enables local or emerging organizations to access specialized technical support without assuming initial financial risk.

AidLabs does not guarantee financing approval. We offer strategic, structured support aligned with international quality standards.

Criteria for working under the results-based model

The model applies only when the organization meets minimum institutional viability criteria:

  • Formal legal existence
  • Structured basic governance
  • Demonstrable operational experience
  • Minimum implementation capacity
  • Institutional commitment to technical processes and defined timelines

Selection is strategic, prioritizing organizations with real financing and sustainability potential.

Connection with our Local Organizations Network

AidLabs develops and maintains a hybrid Local Organizations Network validated internally. The network operates under a dual model: a public map showing territorial presence without exposing sensitive information, and an internal validation process that identifies specific technical and operational capacities.

  • Integrate local capacities into strategic proposals.
  • Strengthen the localization approach.
  • Identify reliable operational partners.
  • Generate territorial evidence to support interventions.
  • Facilitate strategic connections with financing entities when appropriate.

The financing access service complements our territorial intelligence products, such as Rapid Needs Assessments, SitRep Express and Contingency Plans, enabling proposals based on real data and verified territorial dynamics. This approach integrates information, alliances and financing in a single strategic ecosystem.
